Snow Scoop July 2010 Joliet Ski Club Vol. 41 No.2 Meeting the 3rd Thursday of June, July, And August Note From the Editor: Hopefully you enjoyed the June newsletter and will find the July newsletter just as good or better. This month a pdf file of both the color version and the post office version of the newsletter are being attached. This is in response to comments by members that printed out a copy of the newsletter that the color version drained their color ink. Hopefully all the e-mail addresses are straightened out. If you are receiving this as an e-mail attachment and there is a mailing label for you this is the last month you will also receive a copy through the mail unless you notify me that you want to continue to receive a mailed copy (if you have already done this please do it again since the original list was lost). A mail version will be continued to be mailed to those for whom no e-mail address is available. If you receive a mailed copy only and would like to get the e-mail version you need to send an e-mail to

(R4L10D...) from the account you want the e-mail version sent to. Any one wanting to have an article published in the newsletter can do so by sending it as a file attached to an e-mail to the above e-mail address. If your article contains pictures or graphics they must not be included in the article but sent as separate files. This will allow for better editing of the final newsletter. To insure that your article gets into the newsletter it should be received by the third friday of the previous month. Ron Dewey Week Trips for 2011 are finalized! Skier of the month is Norm Carlson. I can not remember a time when Norm missed a ski season except the two year when he had his knees replaced. He came back strong just like he did after he fell and hit his head at Norway Mt. They should give Norm a free pass for life since they sold out of helmets that weekend. Congrats Norm you have earned your stripes.
Next meeting is Thursday, July 15, 7 pm. Knights of Columbus on Infantry Dr. south of Jefferson St. in Joliet.
