Monday Night Golf

Officially over!

We had our last night on August 16th at INWOOD GOLF COURSE

in Joliet with 9 golfers attending. The weather cooperated with the nicest night we have had all summer – most night we sweltered even if we rode! We had 3 teams consisting of 3 players each and competed using a rather different format but had a good time. The winning team was Barry, Ed and Dee. Barry also won for the Longest Drive for Men and Barb won for Longest Drive for Women. George won Closest to the Pin and Dee won for Longest Putt. Is there a couples thing going on here? After golf we enjoyed pizza, beer & wine at CEMENO’S also in Joliet.

Skier/Golfer of the month is Barry W. When the snow flies it is not hard to talk Barry into going to the hills. A regular on club weekend and week trips, he will try almost any slope save the ones where you need ice skates or have a sign that says "If you go down here you will die." No snow; don’t try to keep him off the golf course. When girlfriend Barb retired she took up golf just so she could see him a couple of times a week.

CMSC annual golf weekend will be held September 17, 18, & 19 2010 at Alpine Vally Resort in Elkhorn, WI. The cost is  $251.00 per person (double occupancy) and includes 27 holes of unlimited golf on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, two nights loding (Friday and Saturday), two breakfast buffets, and a Friday night fish buffet. there are only 48 golfing spots available and the trip fills fast. Non-golfers prices are also available. The Alpine Valley Resort has a resturant, bar, and outdoor swimming pool. If interested please contact Barb L,  ASAP !
